Portrait Photography: Breast Cancer Support
Today marks Breast Cancer Awareness of 2021, but those suffering don’t only suffer for a month. Sometimes the trials can last for months, not only wreaking havoc on your body but on your emotions and your family. But some of us are so lucky to be surrounded by families and friends that are by our side. This is what an amazing woman by the name of Jessica did.
This amazing teacher and mother wanted to give back and comfort her friend in need. She decided to cut her hair and donate it to wigs for kids. Sometimes it’s as simple as letting someone know they don’t have to walk alone in their fight.
Well, I didn’t know what I could do but I just wanted her to be celebrated in some way. So I and Jen thought of a photo shoot. FYI Jen is the Amazing Fighter, Mother of three, National Guard Air Force, and Freaking Social Worker on top of Fighting a Triple Negative Diagnoses. This All around person was all in on this surprise and the plan was hatched. Jess didn’t know that photoshoot was for her. Her selflessness and unyielding support to be there were worth celebrating. Here is the moment she found out it was about her.
So on this day I also choose to celebrate and acknowledge those that give their time and their support to those in need. Also to the ones that cut their hair, the world thanks you! If you wish to give back to the cause. I have attached two places below Fuck Cancer and National Breast Cancer Foundation. Check out the rest of the pictures from this great day.
